Jeff Speaking

From The President:

With the start of fall that can only mean it is time for the Ocean High’s Annual Meeting. Everyone should have received their packet by now. The details are contained on this website as well.  I look forward to seeing you there.
I am happy to report that we have enough funds to start the next phase of the Renovation Project. Beginning in October, we will start the replacement of siding, windows and doors on the Canal side building (Units 23-34). The remaining two buildings will be started as funds allow, but will not be started until next year at the earliest. The Canal side Building part of the project will take about 8-10 weeks to complete. Owners and guests of those units will be relocated to other available units so that the work can be completed.  You should be contacted by Ms. Jennifer Lindenberger, our Property Manager, if you will need to be moved. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself, any Board Member, or Defender Management. All contact information is located on this website. Just click on the tab marked “Board”. As always, on behalf of the Board of Directors, I thank every one of you for your support, patience and understanding as we complete these projects.

From The Treasurer:

Taxes:
As we are all too aware, it is tax time again! Did you know that you are able to deduct the portion of property tax that you pay for your ownership at Ocean High? The amount that you can deduct is stated in the box above labeled “Property Taxes” and is broken out by unit number.

Payments:

We all know that this year has been a difficult one for many of our fellow owners due to the economic downturn and job losses. We all know someone who has been affected and would like you to know that we are sensitive to your plight. If you need assistance please call Defender Resorts and they will work with you to set up a payment plan that will work for you. We want you and your families to enjoy many more vacations at Ocean High.
